English singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran, is now a dad! The excited father took to his Instagram on Tuesday, September 1 to share the news that he and his wife, Cherry welcomed their little bundle of joy last week. Posting a picture of a tiny pair of socks in the baby’s cot, the singer wrote as a caption, “Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x”

Sheeran, who is known to have a pretty private life announced his engagement to his childhood friend, Cherry Seaborn in an Instagram post in January 2018. The singer later revealed through one of his songs last year that he and his wife, Cherry, got married in a secret wedding in 2018.
