We do know that Wendy Williams  and her husband Kevin Hunter Sr. are in the process of getting a divorce but we did not know of how troubling it has been for their son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

A fight purportedly happened between Kevin Hunter Sr. and their 18-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

TMZ reported that Wendy Williams had taken her son to their family home to pick up some stuff from the house. Kelvin Hunter Jr. didn’t know that his father, Kelvin Hunter Sr. was in the house as they both left the house and went out to shop for a few items. Things took a different dimension at the parking lot of the shop when they both got into a heated argument.

Kelvin Hunter Sr. had accused Wendy Williams of brainwashing their son as he seeks for spouse support. Kelvin Jnr then reportedly punched him on the nose which left him with a broken nose.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey confirmed that Kevin Hunter Jr. was arrested by West Orange police and charged with alleged simple assault following an incident with his father onTuesday at a store in town.

Rumour has it that he was released very quickly after the arrest and is currently with his mom, Wendy Williams. The reason for the alleged fight is still unverified.

Kevin Hunter Sr. apparently told TMZ on the matter, “I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally. Things are not always how they appear.”

Early last month, the daytime talk show host filed for divorce from her husband of 21 years.

She will be leaving her marriage over “irreconcilable differences” which according to the divorce documents is the reason behind her decision. The documents state a “breakdown” of the marriage over a period of at least 6 months. She wants the court to determine an “appropriate amount” of child support even though their son, KevinHunter Jr. is over 18.
