Cardi B announces her break up with Offset after being married for less than a year
Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and television personality announced her split with Kiari Kendrell Cephus, best known as Offset and a member of the hip hop and trap music trio Migos, alongside cousins Takeoff and Quavo.
She posted on her Instagram page a video that explains how they might have “fallen out of love” and how they have been having issues.
The 26-year-old said: “So, everybody been bugging me and everything, and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now.
“We are really good friends and we are really good business partners— you know he’s always somebody that I run to to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other. But things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.
“It’s nobody’s fault, I guess we just grew out of love. But we are not together anymore.
“I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father… And, yeah…”
Her wedding and engagement rings appear to have been taken off for the video.
If that wasn’t heartbreaking enough, Migos wrote in the comments, “Y’all won”.
The news has come as a surprise to fans, since the couple have been loved-up in public and on social media since their wedding in September 2017.
The I Like It singer posted a candid clip revealing the news, and claimed that she and the Migos rapper “fell out of love”.
