BILL COSBY FOUND GUILTY OF SEXUAL ASSAULT ON ANDREA CONSTANT

Comedian Bill Cosby has been found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault on Adrea Constant by a jury following her accusation of being drugged and sexually assaulted by the comedian in his home almost 24 years ago.

The deliberation took place at the Montgomery County Courthouse on Thursday. Cobsy’s case was the first high profile sexual assault trial to unfold since the prominence of the #MeToo movement. This conviction offers a sense of satisfaction to the many women who have over the years accused the comedian of assaulting them at various moments.

The District attorney of the Montgomery Court, Kevin R. Steele asked that the $1 million bail granted be revoked suggesting that Cosby might try to flee the country to which Cosby responded, “He doesn’t have a plane, you asshole.”

This was the second trial for Cosby on these charges with the first one ending in a mistrial last year.

Cosby was found guilty on all three counts — penetration with lack of consent, penetration while unconscious, and penetration after administering an intoxicant — which are felonies, each punishable by up to 10 years in state prison, though the sentences could be served concurrently.

The Judge, Steven O’Neill is yet to announce a date for sentencing, but state law requires it’s within 100 days of a conviction.
