Following a post on her Instagram recounting how she received the news of her marriage ending, Skincare Entrepreneur, Maureen Esisi shared a lengthy post clearing up popular misconceptions on her failed marriage with Nollywood actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu. While speaking her truth on the story, she mentioned that their relationship started off as just friendship, adding that they were together for five years and married for four years before their separation last year. Reacting to the claim that she got married for fame, she said, “If it was fame I wanted, it won’t have been Blossom”, also stating that she never snatched anyone and that there was no pressure to get married. Maureen further stressed that she was the last person toknow her marriage was over and didn’t see it coming, she also denied the rumors that she had no respect for her ex-husband.

The 32 year old added that she never had any problems conceiving and always wanted a child though Blossom didn’t seem interested in having kids. She also stated that reports claiming infidelity in her marriage were false, as there was none from her part and she was unaware of any in her marriage. In the later part of her post, Maureen said that contrary to the rumors on their marriage, she never had a problem with Blossom’s mother and never faked any of their pictures or videos. She concluded her post denying reports of domestic violence in their marriage while mentioning she stayed in the marriage because she felt it was meant to be forever. “If tables were turned and he had my own reasons, he would have left on the first year (I GUARANTEE) but I stayed for 5 years cos when I say “I DO”… I was brought up to understand it was for life,” she wrote.
