On the 15^th of March, 2018, Vanessa Trump filed for divorce against her husband Donald Trump Jr. in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways,” the couple told Page Six in a joint statement. “We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”

The president’s daughter-in-law filed for an uncontested proceeding which means she does not intend to fight her ex husband for custody of their children and would like the proceedings to be resolved quickly.

The allegations are that Donald Jr had an affair with Aubrey O’Day while filming the 5^th season of Celebrity Apprentice in 2011. The alleged affair is rumoured to have began at the end of 2011 and carried on until March 2012 while Vanessa was pregnant with the couple’s third child.

Efforts made by various news media to reach to O’Dey and Donald Jr. Were futile as both parties declined commenting on the story.
